This year 13 members of the Maryland Senate and 37 members of the Maryland House of Delegates received pro-business cumulative ratings of 70 percent or higher to merit presentation of a John Shaw Award. Recipients receive a John Shaw Award Certificate, a lapel pin, support materials for their campaigns, and a star after their name in Roll Call. John Shaw Award recipients also receive endorsements for the primary and general elections for the state legislature. |

Every four (4) years MBRG recognizes pro-business Maryland legislators with the presentation of the John Shaw Awards (named for the Annapolis merchant who created a distinctive American flag when Annapolis served as the nation's capitol city more than 200 years ago).
